How it works

Grand Architect has "{U}: Target artifact creature becomes blue until end of turn" and "Tap an untapped blue creature you control: Add {C}{C}. Spend this mana only to cast artifact spells or activate abilities of artifacts." Pili-Pala has "{2}, {Q}: Add one mana of any color." Pay one blue to make Pili-Pala blue, tap it through the Architect for two colourless, spend those two on Pili-Pala's ability, which untaps it and makes one mana of any colour. Tap it again. Every loop is one mana up, in whatever colour you like.

The catch: Pili-Pala's ability uses the untap symbol, so it can't be activated the turn Pili-Pala enters unless it has haste. Give it a turn, then go.
